You may have noticed from our range of hammocks that we offer aThick Cord Hammock, whereas the majority of our hammocks are made in a finer cord.
So what is the difference and what is best for you..
Both cord varieties are woven in the exact same hand-woven manner, so there is not difference in quality.
Both are open weave patterns, so they provide excellent support and outstanding comfort as the cords gently mold to your body shape.
The main difference, just lies in the added durability that the thick cord offers. The cord is approx four times thicker than the fine cord. So this just adds a bit more durability to the hammock when exposed to the elements and playing children.
This is not to say the thiner cord hammocks are inferior, they offer the benefit of being very lightweight, but they are still extremely strong and supportive also. They may just not have as longer lasting durability as the thicker cord can provide.
In terms of comfort there is no real difference, and it is often just a matter of personal opinion. Some people will stick with one over the other, but either way you will be ensured a beautiful hand-woven hammock focused on providing you with relaxed comfort.
